You make me blush

When you find a brand that you love for the unique pieces, and creativity that they put into the pieces you just stay with it, for me is a Mexican Brand named Mikaela, I saw this Lady bunny Top and just loved it, with the cute graphic on the front and sheer fabric on the back, simple and beautiful.

Getting inspired by a piece is a perfect way to start a look, have the top with a cute graphic, then a peach colored skirt to add a romantic feel, a chunky necklace that I made four years ago for Halloween(I was Audrey Hepburn so I need giant pearls, to feel glamorous), and some flowers on my hair. This look is about being a lady and I totally feel like it.

Get inspired by: Hair

I used to have my hair short and about 6 months ago I decided to grow it out just to try new looks, today is not super long, but is on a good length to start trying new hair styles, I know my bun is my go to hairstyle but on special occasions I like to try different looks, to change things a little bit, and girls always need some inspiration to get the gorgeous hair and thankfully I found out about ghd website, (yes the hair straightener brand) that has a section where they teach you how to get Katy Perry’s looks, they take you on a step by step lesson to achieve her looks or show you different looks for al hair types and lengths, and that is amazing.

Add some color

I’m sure that all girls love to play in their aunt’s closets and I’m no exception, I went to my aunt’s house this weekend for a family lunch, so I knew she love traditional Mexican clothes, so I have to go into her closet and have a little fun trying her clothes, I tried all her clothes but it was this piece that I just felt in love, vibrant colors and traditional multicolor embroidered flowers, what else can I ask for, finally I ask her if I could borrow it for the weekend, and she said - Yes you can, and don’t use it just for the weekend, keep it- have to love that.

This is a blouse but I used it as a dress with a yellow skirt under, to add more length and obviously more color.

Time machine

A dress that has its own story, and it started 40 years ago when my grandma made it for her by hand no machines involved, every single blue thread was placed by her gifted hands, after some years of use my mom take it into her closet, and now I take it into mine, it’s something different from the things that I wear, it’s made of a thick fabric but somehow it works.

A piece that traveled in time, is something to treasure for the history and the hard work behind it, comfortable shoes, and a matching elastic belt, just small detail to update an old friend into a new love.

I love my mom

You know that feeling when you look at someone and you feel that that image is what you want to achieve at some point, that image is my mom she is and amazing woman, with an amazing taste on clothes, and without that I probably don’t have my own style totally inspired by her and in this May 10^th,the day that we celebrate all Moms in México I want to do one more look inspired by her.

And to make this post I had to use one more of her amazing pieces from her closet, as she calls it her favorite pajama, but for me is a beautiful dress, soft colors, flowy fabric just dreamy, she know how to stay at home in style.

Happy Mother’s day for all your beautiful mothers or if you are a mom congrats I’m sure you are amazing.

Spring on the go. . . .

It's spring and that means is time to show more skin and for me that is my knees, put on cute shoes, and wear something that your mom wore on the 70's, and what a better way than wear a silk shirt on neutral tones, with the best accent a lovely Bow.

Sunglasses, the vintage piece that every girl should own, not only is a cute piece to display on your vanity, is perfect for a more dramatic touch into the look, right?
