The nostalgic delight

Looking back when i started posting my looks online, I used to have short hair, and always have it down, the warm weather come in and my hair start to go up until I found my loved bun, but sometimes we all need some changes that are nice to make when you are tired of the same, But I have to admit without my bun a felt a little naked.

Cause I love fashion

It’s nice to find beautiful images browsing through the internet and it’s even more beautiful to know what is behind it, when I looked at this photos I really felt in love of this classic images of a gorgeous woman that exudes confidence and effortless class, immediately I started to look out for the campaign that this images where was part of and found a wonderful surprise.

This images belongs to the We Don’t Care Inc. an Australian organization that is making their very first event to raise awareness in a very important issue that happened all over the world but they are taking action it to their area, the issue that they are looking forward to reduce is the young people that are living on the streets, boys and girls of the ages of 12 to 18, that shouldn’t be homeless.

This event will be called ”The Fashion Fund” where you will have the chance to buy beautiful pre-owned or like they call it pre-loved clothes from numerous designer at a very low cost, and the money from this sales will be given to 3 different organizations in Melbourne, unfortunately I live in the other side of the world and could not be there, but if you happened to be in the area, please take a look not only you will do some shopping, you will be helping someone that needs it, this wonderful event will be taking place at Federation Square on Saturday 24^th of September, from 10:30am to 7:30pm.

Designer alert: Alejandra Quesada. . . . . . Mexican Edition

+ NY Fashion week

Ten fashion shows one post, just so you catch up NY Fashion week.

Jill stuart collection was great, love her fabrics and shapes on her dresses.

Derek Lam was lovely to watch he had everyday wear mixed with a classy taste, the mix of refreshing colors and a little 70’s on the prints, was a total favorite to me.

Falling into fall

Welcome to September the month for the Mexican national festivities and the month where I start thinking on wearing more warm clothing, although this year maybe is going to be delay for a few more months, the wheatear has been super hot and humid, that is not layer friendly weather.

But I still like the idea of wearing my tights and boots for a day, and a better excuse that this dress, or oversize shirt, that I got at a friend boutique for so cheap, saw it and got me intrigued, because I’m not going to lie I wear things that are one size bigger all the time, but this kind of went a lot more further, try it on and love the way the fabrics falls and gathers on different areas.

And just to add some summer love to the look , a skinny belt with a flower print, details always make an outfit right?

NY Fashion week

I have to say that Nicholas K was a big surprise for me, I usually not exited by type of clothing that this design company follows, the very basic shapes with an urban edge but, there is something about the layers and soft fabrics that was very pleasant to watch.

Tadashi Shoji’s line was so exquisite, the rouching on the fabric to accentuate a ladies body, the sheer fabrics and the always loved lace, and it was nice to see a line in neutrals with a few pieces in bold colors.

LUCA LUCA is probably my favorite so far, love the mix of color prints and fabrics, the accent on the waist with some skinny belts, the jackets, and blazer are amazing, and the dress part of the line is amazing, plus one of the accessories that I loved was the turbans.

These last two designers were amazing from the fresh and modern experience that Nicole miller present, to the luxurious take on summer of Cynthia Rowley with her gold accents, and amazing prints, love them both.

Surprise test

When I was in high school I used to collect sunglasses, but when I went to college I start forgetting about my sunglass love, I even lost the majority of them, but now I’m seriously re thinking on starting my collection again, so I need a Little inspiration and one Brand that caught my eye immediately was Ralph Vaessen eyewear, it has the most beautiful glasses, with classic shapes, and some modern twists.

What do you think love them or not so much?

The shoes and the beauty

A couple of weeks I had the opportunity to do this photos with a beautiful photographer named Paulina Morales, she is doing a series about people just being themself, and this are mine, I have to say I really love them, so thank you Paulina.

In the other side this photos were the perfect excuse to wear my brand new Keds, I got them from Chictopia, and here is the story behind my love for Keds, for 2 years I wanted a pair but in my city only one store has them, and they don’t have my shoe size or when they have my size I just don’t have the money to get them because I already spend it on something else, so when I saw the opportunity to get this I just had to redeem this.

I know you want: LANVIN

Lanvin is one of the brands to watch, thanks to Alberto Elbaz, who always know how to engage the eye into a beautiful piece, and this Autumn/Winter collection is no exception, with pieces like capes coats and fantastic jewelry, you are drove into a perfect lady looking line.

On the Ad campaign we see Karen Elson and Raquel Zimmermann looking gorgeous as a fashionable duo, full with elegance and fun poses.

But wait if you haven’t seen the video for the campaign you have to watch it now, not only is an odd mix for a brand like this to use Pitbull’s song “I Know You Want Me” but to see MR.

Alberto in the video is so refreshing, you have to love it.
