One of my favorite holidays here in México is the “Day of the dead”, a holiday where families get together for the only purpose of remembering the ones that aren’t here with us anymore. One of the main characthers that are involved in this celeration is “La Catrina” or the “Lady of death”, she is a reminder that someday we'll be remembered.
I’m lucky to be surrounded by talented and inspiring people, and in order to celebrate my love for design and my culture, I invited one of my favorite Mexican Illustrators, Ster Aguirre, to collaborate with me and do the make-up for a photo shoot about “La Catrina”, dressing up in traditional clothes, hope you enjoy this photos. Thanks to Ster Aguirre for letting me be her canvas. If you want to see her work, I highly recommend click here.

Today I found this brand and was really happy to share it with you, “Mother of Pearl” is a brand created by designer Maia Norman and the thing that really engaged me when I found the first photo was the print used on the fabric, the mix of graphics, shapes and color really make a graphic designer dream come true, and the use of sportswear really makes this line functional and elegant, rare mix in fashion but I really appreciate it.

I’m wearing a vintage skirt that I found in my mom’s closet; love the textures and the mix of colors, sutil and fun, the shirt is also vintage and finally my boots saw the light again, can't wait for winter.
You know I like to use different background for my photos, and this has been one of my top choice but never use it, Why? I really don’t know.

Inspiration for today “shoes”, and thankfully I found Nicholas Kirkwood the mind behind the shoes that you see in runways like Rodarte, John Rocha, PacoRabanne and more, definitely art in a shoe, the design of the body is feminine and edgy a total reminder that a shoe can be the star in any outfit. Do you love them?

If you were wondering how my boyfriend looks like, well this is how |
Aloha Rag is a store placed in New York that carries Brands like, Saskia Diez, Tom Ford, Elizabeth and James, Shipley & Halmos, Gabriela Artigas and a line of their own called AR, the look of this line instantly caught my eye, for the classic old American style, yet modern approach on men’s wear, this totally fits my boyfriend style, so when I saw the line I had to immediately post some fall inspiration for the guys too.
Here is the link to Aloha Rag store if you want to know a little more about the line and the store wich has an amazing interior design.

Autumn Safari? Sure, I just look at this dress and is the first thing that came to my mind, hard to find names for my post some times.
As October is evolving the weather is finally changing and so is the fabrics that I’m wearing, a little more thick , but since I live by the beach I still enjoy no sleeve dresses.
Once again I’m wearing vintage and one of the pieces that I adore is this vintage broche, love the pastel color and the beautiful shapes.

It’s nice to dream, right? Maybe someday I will travel the world, and the reason of my dreaming, were this images that I found during my weekly browse for some inspiration, this amazing line of handmade luggage named “Williams Britishhandmade” created by Sarah Jane Williams, what is amazing about the brand beside the fact that every single piece and stich is put together by hand, the thing that really caught my eye is the way that the creator pair art and functionality, (Well probably not as functional as a boring black Samsonite, but definitely more beautiful) to get a prefect piece and the retro vibe is a total delight for me.
